About Me

I am a Carolina girl recently transplanted to Texas,

a former inclusion teacher,

a recovering perfectionist who’s learning how to find freedom in imperfection.

I  enjoy reading,

am passionate about American Sign Language & the Deaf community

and love the sound of the ocean.

I write because, as Thoreau said, “the written word is the choicest of relics. It is something at once more intimate with us and more universal than any other work of art. It is the work of art nearest to life itself.”

If I  can keep my fingers off the backspace key long enough, I might write a book someday.

I’m now better about keeping my fingers off the backspace key, and am writing a book.

I am unbound, tossing off the ropes that bind and taking flight.
